The IET website contains certain types of documents and media files that require a plug-in or helper application in order for a web browser to be able to play play or display them.
The basic requirement to browse the IET website is a recent web browser. To log in, a Web browser with support for cookies and HTTPS encryption is required.

Some documents are in PDF format and require the Adobe Acrobat Reader. To download Acrobat, please visit the Adobe website.
Microsoft Word Viewer
Some documents can only be viewed and printed using Microsoft Word. However, if you don't have MS Word, you might like to try Microsoft Word Viewer - a free piece of software that allows you to view (but not edit) these documents.

The IET's websites includes some multimedia presentations in Flash format that require the appropriate player to be viewed.

The IET website's industry news service is now available as RSS feeds. RSS readers can be downloaded free of charge.
