Oh dear, we come back off break and this is better than any Part P thread of the past, this is Part B by the way, what a lot of propaganda, scare mongering and huffing and puffing by the usual so called experts talking the talk. LOL
You have to realise that the standards of securing cables etc; in escape routes and the use of thermoplastic materials and components such as consumer units in the build sector has been outlined in the Building Regulations and associated documents for quite a long period of time now so it is nothing new, I am beginning to think this is a dig by your industry by inferring you have been somewhat complacent and an attempt to ensure you up your game a bit which is a bit unfair.
Dont worry about what codes and the like you put on your EICR's they are still only a report on the condition of an installation and your opinion, those of us who read them good or bad will still determine what constitutes a hazard or not as the responsibility for the safety of the installation still rests with us not you so we wont be coming after you to try and get you into trouble unlike some of your contractor friends.
Dont worry, give it another month till the Xmas blues are over then it is back to business as usual.
regards
