This forum will be locked on 27th March , the walls will have extra padding added and the key will be hidden in a cabinet at mission control with a sign saying "beware of the moderator".

Can we vote for a short delay with the option of extending it.

We'll be done for if we are stopped from debating the same topic over and over again.

That's a pity as the layout of the new one is pretty poor.

This current site is miles better

Hi FM

I'm interested to know why you find the layout of this forum much better? Can you elaborate for me please? What is it that you find better here than on the forum's new home?

It may be something that we can change easily or if not, something that will go on our wish list for further development.

Probably because this one has a lot of soul and character and a history not to be rivalled, whereas the other one 'the community' is too clinical and bland.

I could not get my screen name to work in the new forum.
I saved or registered it in good time, but this did not seem to work.
I then tried to manually select "broadgage" but this was refused.
I have now manually selected "broadgage2"

Are you able to set my screen name in the new forum to exactly the same as now ? I very much doubt that anyone else has actually selected that name.

So it's more of a 'feeling' than a technical capability or issue RnR?

Hi Broadgage

This has been sorted for you.

Just a minor mix up when we imported your account over as you already had an existing account in the online community.

All should be good now though.

Much better delineation.

Thanks Mike.

We can easily take a look at the cosmetic side of things i.e. making the border lines a darker colour to make them a little more obvious or darkening the grey shades slightly to define the different replies.

However, we need to make sure the changes are acceptable across the board as it will affect all areas across the online community and not just the Wiring and the Regulations forum category.

I'll pop it on my list of things to look into.
