hi chaps recently wired some pelmet lights (LED) in a kitchen refurb on ground floor light circ. on completion carried out tests including ZE which the new minor works forms require, switched off C U carried out ZE re energised supply at main switch all ok except the cheap and nasty Wicks MR16 downlights on the landing stopped working
they were the DIY type you get from places such as Wickes four on a loom with one transformer upfront the re-energise of supply must have spiked the transformer so now i have to replace 4 x downlights for free as thecustomer obviously have the attitude that they worked before you arrived. does everyone do ZE testing as well as ZS on minor works?

The IEE 2018 model form for MEIWC just requires Zdb at the CU,
(i.e. you need to measure Zs at the incomer). No need to isolate the CU or disconnect the bonding.
