The Satellite Systems and Applications Network (SS&A) focuses on satellites, space vehicles and earth stations used in: communications, navigation, earth observation, remote sensing and space exploration.
Agreed in 2003, Aelous was the project to build the worlds first Satellite to provide weather observations good enough for the World Meteorological Organisation to use in both climate research and operational forecasting.
The Hubble Space Telescope has proved its continued worth with new planetary identification.
