Welcome Letter from the Chairman
The new session, 2007-08, promises to be an interesting one, with a new drive to interest members via their companies, and indeed attract new members the same way. Watch these notes for progress – in fact, help by putting me in touch with your engineering manager or director – we can then have a win-win-win scenario – your company benefits, you do, and so does the IET.
We all aim to provide the same thing – opportunities to find out more about engineering & technology, meet your peers, have sociable contacts, and generally enjoy yourselves in an informative atmosphere.
I encourage you all to browse the new IET website, www.theiet.org . Our own part of this is currently addressed as www.theiet.org/bucks, as the changes are still underway – your constructive comments are welcome.
In addition, our Younger Members will be organising some visits and activities of their own – watch out for our targeted emails announcing them.
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at our events, which are great opportunities to meet likeminded engineers with experiences that you can learn from each other.
