As part the Faraday 08 programme, Technology for Life, four all-day, action packed FaraDay events for schools took place during March and April at inspirational science-related venues. Over 1500 pupils took part in specially developed activities and challenges related to medical engineering. Volunteer members, including a number of Faraday Engineers, supported the events by offering general encouragement and advice during the workshop sessions.
The winners of the pupil challenge competition were presented with their prizes at the London Science Museum FaraDay. Sir Robin Saxby attended the opening session at which he described his career achievements and highlighted the life-long opportunities offered by the engineering profession.
The migration of the sites continues with the number of sites live currently standing at 78.
