IET Calcutta Network
Welcome to The IET Kolkata Network. The Network is located in the City of Joy, the vibrant metropolis of India. It is the only city in India which had nurtured five Nobel laureates.
Being one of the oldest in India the Network can be proud of its history . It's origin dates back to 1944 when good number of British Engineers had taken initiative to form the then Calcutta Centre of The Institution of Electrical Engineers.
The main aims of the Network are to:
- Follow IET's strategies and objectives in the Network territory.
- Intensify IET image with better liasion with academic Institutions as well as Electrical & IT industries.
- Implement memberships drive for increasing the strength of specially the Younger practitioners.
